Unique Atmosphere
"Vanha Kauppa" which stands for "The Old General Store" is a nostalgic, independent family-owned brewpub and a shop. Vanha Kauppa is the taproom of Hoppa Brewery, also run by the same family, which operates in the premises. In addition to Hoppa craft beers the pub offers a vast collection of different styles of drinks from coffee to grappa. The interior reflects the history of this old house and gives the place an unique feel. This cozy, european style pub, with vast clientele, also organizes atmospheric live music gigs and events. At summertime the inner court changes to a Beer Garden where you can enjoy a summer day.
Vintage charm with a modern twist
Vanha Kauppa, former Heinonen & Laurikainen Ltd commercial house was built in 1925. It´s long history as a local general store gives the building a nostalgic charm. The old National cash register at the counter is authentic and from 1928. Although the interior decor has been inspired by the bulding´s long history it doesn´t make the restaurant feel like a museum but a warm and cozy brewpub that differs from finnish mainstream.

Vanha Kauppa offers private conference rooms for parties, groups and meetings. Rooms include a screen and a projector. Optional coffee and/or buffet.
Vanha Kauppa also arranges Hoppa Craft Beer tastings for groups over 10 persons. In this casual tasting you get to know four Hoppa beer with the help of a pro.
